Since then it has flourished its activities as the most notable NGO working for cross-cultural activities with Japan. Its Secretary & Founder Mr. Amod Deo mentions that when he looks back 20 years ago, the focus was initially on language students alone and now the AFJ has grown so much that it can cater to business, industry, local self governments and state government exchange programs with Japanese counterparts. AFJ has taken many delegations from Pune City to Japan and has created friendly relations between the Pune Municipal Corporation & Okayama Prefecture Government.
